The War Widows Association (India) is over 52 years old and has continued to grow in strength. We are a support group and institutional body that ensures war widows (Veer Naries) and their families receive the respect, entitlements, and assistance they deserve.
We welcome all Veer Naries with open arms — Ek Pyaar aur Dard ka Rishta, a relationship of love and pain. We work in coordination with the Ministry of Defence and government bodies to support the families of our nation's defence personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Founder Chairperson
Dr. Mrs. V Mohini Giri has led the War Widows Association since 1971. She firmly believes that the nation needs constant loyalty, love and compassion for those who have sacrificed their lives safeguarding the motherland. Under her leadership, WWA has grown into a strong support group and institutional body, ensuring war widows (Veer Naries) and their families receive the respect, entitlements, and assistance they deserve.
The organisation continues to serve with dedication, working in coordination with government bodies to support the families of our nation's defence personnel. We follow our motto of serve & love, and are confident that the coming years will see the organisation touch every Veer Nari.
The WWA's work is based on three pillars: Support, Care, and Remember.
Welfare, rehabilitation, and access to schemes and pension benefits for war widows and their families.
